HOW DOES JUDAISM UNDERSTAND OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH G-D & HUMANITY?
WHAT ARE THE GOALS OF A JEWISH LIFE?
These are some of the questions Rabbi Lefkowitz will touch upon as an instructor in our annual Adult Education series. The Rabbi’s class will meet on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. The first session will be Sunday, October 21st.
Rabbi Lefkowitz will continue his study of the powerful text of Rabbi Samson Raphael Hirsch’s The Nineteen Letters. Written to a skeptical young man, Rabbi Hirsch attempts to answer his questions concerning Judaism. A truly timeless work, Hirsch examines many of the issues that perplex contemporary American Jews as well. Written in an easy flowing style, The Nineteen Letters has provided many thousands with a firm grounding in Jewish Theology since its first publication in the middle 1800’s in Germany.
As always, the class is a free flowing dialogue with the Rabbi.
The entire community is invited to attend. A brunch will be served after each class session.
